Exercise in disguise… not

I’ll get to the title of my post in a bit, but for now let’s start with…

BREAKFAST

I decided to mix it up a bit and have something other than yogurt.  Of course you’ve seen this breakfast before, but not for a little while.  It’s definitely one of my favorite savory breakfasts…

This is 2 slices of The Baker flax bread with 1/2 tablespoon of whipped cream cheese and 1.5 oz of lox.  Love it!

LUNCH

I was planning to meet a few girlfriends at a bakery so I kept lunch on the lighter side with a salad.  I definitely threw everything I could think of into it though :)

Let’s see what we have here… mixed greens dressed in 1 tablespoon of Annie’s Naturals woodstock dressing (good stuff!), some green olives, grape tomatoes, cut up baby carrots, roasted pimiento peppers and about 1/4 cup of homemade hummus.  Very fresh and yummy!

And then I went out for my bakery date :)  This is to be added to my B&B page and I thought it would be fun to go with some girlfriends so I could taste more stuff 😀  So yeah, I decided to walk there to get some more HBBC points.  The bakery is 1.9 miles from my house.  Not bad on a normal day, but if I say so myself, a really stupid idea in the freezing cold, especially since this genius forgot her gloves and hat!  I really love walking places – I call it exercise in disguise, but this was not it.  It was a semi-miserable walk there (I was sweating and freezing at the same time) but the walk back was absolutely brutal.  My feet and hands were icicles.  I think I deserve double HBBC points!  No?  Ok :)  Anyways, that’s 3.8 HBBC points, for a total to date of 88.9.  The bad news is that I was so cold it took me hours to recover so I never actually made it to the gym for my real workout.  Oh well.  I had fun with the girls! 😀

We’ll skip through my bakery visit (to be described in a separate post) and go straight to my endless munching for the rest of the night.

I was starving by the time I got home and made a little hummus and cheese wrap:

Hummus and cheese is a great combo!

I wanted something else, so I ate the rest of the green apple from yesterday’s lunch:

A little later I grabbed a 100 calorie almond pack because I was still starving and figured some healthy fats would help with the hunger.  This did the trick! :)

The entire time I considered going to the gym so I didn’t actually make dinner, but after watching the Phantom Gourmet episode about comfort food I got a strong craving for a grilled cheese sandwich so I made a little 1/2 of one and finally gave up on going to the gym.

This was thoroughly disappointing and that’s when I raided the fridge and cupboards for more food…

Let’s see, there was a peach chobani I’ve been waiting to try for a while.  I liked it!

Some chocolate covered edamame (I went back for a little more after finishing this portion):

And some pb puffins straight out of the box that escaped the camera!  This mindless snacking needs to stop now!!!  I estimated I ate about 1.5 cups’ worth.

Then I came to my senses and sat down to blog 😀  Could have been worse, right?

Total calories for the day: ~1744 + a brownie
